About Me

Having spent a lot of my adult life in and out of hospital and undergoing two life saving operations,  I grew tired of the regime of medication, invasive surgery, long recovery periods and generally feeling unwell and debilitated.  So, I decided to try an alternative and travelled to India to seek a healthier and hopefully, successful treatment for my on-going condition.  During an all too brief stay at an Ayurvedic hospital in Kerala, South West India, I witnessed several miracles. One example was a lady with Parkinson’s Disease who was able to join our morning yoga session after only 3 days, prior to which her tremors were so bad that she had no hope of managing exercise of any sort.  There were many other examples to follow.

After only a few days of receiving daily massage therapies, herbal medications, morning yoga and healthy wholesome foods I genuinely felt and looked like a different person. I was able to sleep on my left side for the first time in 10 years (due to an arthritic hip this had not been possible before). My painful knees no longer locked, swelled and burned. My sciatica, which had worked its way into both heels, had gone. But, best of all, and the main reason for my visit, the problems I had experienced with digestion and bowel complications had disappeared! On arriving back home I attended a follow up visit at my local hospital to be told that my symptoms had reduced by almost 50% in just two months!  To me, it was nothing short of a miracle and I continue on my Ayurvedic path to permanent good health and happiness.  By understanding my Ayurvedic constitution I am able to make positive changes to my lifestyle and nutrition in order to maintain balance.  I believe that by having an awareness of what ‘makes me’ I am able to recognise any changes very quickly and I can make small adjustments to realign and regain equilibrium.

When I arrived home from my visit to Kerala I wanted to share the sublime experience of the massage therapy with my family and friends. I decided on a formal training route in order to do justice to the therapy and to give the recipient an authentic experience.  I attended an intensive course at the Ayurvedic Institute in London and qualified as an Ayurvedic Massage Therapist. I began to treat friends and family and soon the word spread and I am now working with incredible people who want to help themselves on the journey to health and happiness.

My Ayurvedic knowledge was recently enhanced by a visit to Mysore, South West India, where I underwent an intensive training course in Ayurvedic Principles learning more about the philosophy of this ancient healing art.  For me, Ayurveda is now a way of life and every day I witness how it helps me and others to heal and to grow and so I continue my journey.

The serene therapy space set in 30 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside with its own private woodland and lake.

Every treatment is a pleasure and privilege for me and the therapy transports me and my patient to a deeply relaxing realm, filled with peace, healing and unconditional love.  The icing on the cake; I am doing something I love with people who care.  Utopia!
