Your Health is Your Wealth
“We only need to make a small investment in ourselves in order to make a big difference!”
Ayurveda is a holistic system of medicine that is indigenous to and widely practiced in India. The word Ayurveda is a Sanskrit term meaning ‘science of life’. Ayu means ‘life’ or ‘daily living’ and Veda is ‘knowing’. Ayurveda was first recorded in the Vedas, the world’s oldest extant literature. This healing system has been practiced in daily life for more than 5,000 years. It tells us which substances, qualities and actions are life enhancing and which are not. Its principles are universally applicable. Ayurveda helps the healthy person to maintain health and the diseased person to regain health. Those who wish to live happy, healthy and inspired lives can benefit from the wisdom which Ayurveda holds. The practice of Ayurveda is designed to promote human happiness, health and creative growth.
Over 5,000 years of research and practice has refined Ayurvedic massage into a sublime art, and yet it is still relatively unknown in the Western world. However, skilled knowledge of the body, coupled with knowledge of oils and massage techniques has resulted in an art form which is balancing the body and mind through the medium of massage.
Ayurveda claims that most people are born in a perfect state of balance but quickly lose it due to a variety of factors, such as a poor diet and lifestyle. Ayurveda offers everyone the chance to discover their optimal condition and thereby begin the journey towards achieving health.

Ayu = Life
Veda = Knowledge
Everything we interact with on a daily basis; diet, family, leisure pursuits, work and relationships, has an effect on our health and wellbeing. A guiding principle of Ayurveda is that the mind and body are connected and that the mind has a profound influence over our health and wellbeing. Ayurveda believes that health is more than the absence of disease, it is a dynamic state of balance and integration of body, mind, and spirit. Ayurveda provides the opportunity to empower ourselves with consistent good health rather than relying on temporary fixes.
